It began with a gorgeous sunny day in a quaint, vintage, classic mansion where the girls fussed over details during prep, and the guys hung in the back yard, waiting to watch the groom say “I Do” to his stunning bride. Matt and Cait chose to do a First Look, which is my personal favorite, because really, we get the BEST reactions from our grooms during this intimate moment, and many have told me it was the most precious time of their entire day.
There was not a dry eye for this couple’s stunning outdoor ceremony behind Dibble’s beautiful back yard, and oh my, was Upstate New York good to us that day!
Matt is a police officer in the Bronx, and much of the ceremony focused on the trials he faces in the line of duty and how Cait would relentlessly be his helper, companion, forgiver, and friend. Phew! Folks, it was intense!
I love the way Matt looks at his beautiful bride: with affirmation, over-flowing respect, and an intense adoration for who she is a person (and…it doesn’t hurt anything that she’s stinking GORGEOUS!). And there is a poised trust that Cait exudes when she’s around her husband; it makes everyone around them feel safe and love love.
Because of powers outside our control, Matt and Cait and I met on the day of their wedding. We all had not planned it that way! But alas! And what a joyous reunion from a long-distance relationship it was to finally meet my precious couple! I could not have been more excited to FINALLY hug Cait in person and say, “CONGRATULATIONS! You’re getting married!!” These two were beyond trusting, welcoming, and loving, and I am so immensely blessed to call them a VP couple! Thanks for being so amazing, M&C!
