If I were to go to the wedding couple store, and select the best couple for a wedding, Jim and Jennie would be the first off the shelf. These two were the entire package of gorgeous, fun, welcoming, easy-going, and loving, loving, loving. J&J’s love for one another was so incredibly evident. And the love they have for all the guests who surrounded them last night was profound. These two are the type that see everything to its end and stick with anything that comes in their direction. And now that they have one another in their corner, an on-looker, such as their illustrious photographer, can definitely tell these two will stick together forever. Jennie keeps Jim grounded and and Jim keeps Jennie laughing. And put together? They have it all. I just love them!
Even though it was basically blizzarding during our First Look, we had planned a perfect spot against the Sherwood Inn in Skaneateles to capture the two seeing one another for the first time (YAY for First Looks!!!) and getting what looked like white fluffy winter snow (it didn’t feel like white fluffy snow, but thankfully J&J were covered!). The picture of class, folks!
Jim and Jennie had their reception at Welch Allyn Lodge, and honestly, I can’t think of a more perfect place for them. The cathedral ceilings matched the bow ties which matched the enormous windows that matched the elegant tulle on Jennie’s dress. Every. single. detail was put together with precision and dedication, and let me tell you, it made for one stunning and fun celebration. After looking at these images, if you don’t want to be them, you’ll at least want to be their good friend. We are so, so incredibly blessed to have kicked off the 2015 season with these perfect individuals.
I know, catch your breath! This dress looked even more (if it’s even possible!) amazing on Jennie!
And sometimes, you just have to stand on a MY car.
The snow, the black french doors, the gorgeous bride and groom… I can hardly stand it.
And other times, you just have to give a group hug.
Jim surprised Jennie with the most beautiful, glowing string of pearls. This couple is both gorgeous and insanely romantic!
I know I’ve said this before, but a bridal party has the ability to make or break a day, and this day? They all made it! What a fun group to work with!
One of my most favorite parts about wedding photography is shooting a wedding wherein I have the chance to see past couples. It was my immense pleasure to take a selfie with these two!
And my even greater pleasure to be in a full shot with them! Truly a special pair!
